Catherine, you are going to love Deadpool & Wolverine (that one is the one Loki is more relevant to). Also you may want to watch the Early 2000s Fantastic Four movies.

The biggest beef with the Origins movie was not just that he had his mouth sewn shut, but that his whole "origin", powers, etc. in that movie were completely made-up for the movie, and wasn't anything like Deadpool from the comics. And it was done sloppily as a throwaway, just to make a random villain for Logan to fight. So, Deadpool fans were understandably pissed with that. Aside from that writing blunder (and even including that) no one can blame you for liking Origins. Even as a childhood Deadpool fan since the 90s, I was conflicted myself. Jackman as Wolverine is always a win, so it was a bit of love/hate fo sho. This DP is very much faithful to the comics, which were pretty out-there and mature themselves, especially compared to the usual Marvel fare. It was one of the things that drew me to those comics as a kid. Also, being a bit of a misfit myself was definitely a factor. XD The Wolverine comics were also pretty gritty, but obviously much less irreverent. They teamed up in the comics before, and it was a huge fan favorite. So, Ryan getting DP x Wolverine to happen was such childhood fulfillment. Imho, not nearly as good as DP 1 and 2, but it's really its own thing, and a LOT of fun (with a lot of fulfilling references and cameos). Also better than 99% of the other movies out there right now. lol You should have a good time with it. DP x Spider-Man happened often too (and was hilarious), but I dunno if we'll ever get that... 😢 Since you liked Logan and the Wolverine character in general, might I suggest 'The Wolverine' (2013)? Really underrated Wolverine movie that flies under the radar far too often. But, really well done imo. It's set in Japan, and features a really dope Japanese cast, including Hiroyuki Sanada (The Last Samurai). Edit: Oops, posted this JUST before you mentioned Blade. Um, yea, DEFINITELY watch that. lol One of the dopest movies ever, honestly, and a huge reason why we have Marvel movies at all today. Wesley Snipes is ICONIC as Blade. You'll have a good time for sure. Blade II is also amazing (in some ways, I like it more), and directed by the great Guillermo del Toro.

Deadpool just keeps getting better and better every time.

Fun Fact I think NO ONE ELSE KNOWS for some reason.... Ryan Reynolds not only plays Deadpool in this movie.. but he actually plays "Juggernaut" in this movie as well!! :)

So, it is Deadpool and Wolverine that you should really watch Loki season 2 before seeing. And, hey, you've got a while before it hits digital release to catch up on that XD But yeah... you're going to love that one, too. Well, both Loki season 2 and Deadpool and Wolverine! And yes, I feel like this one was... okay, it was still over-the-top brutal and violent, _but_ it gave a much more powerful story overall. I do like it better than the first (though I still absolutely love the first one), and... well, let's just say the best is yet to come.

So, don't really think of this movie as a "Marvel" movie... it was 20th Century Fox, and it exists because Ryan Reynolds willed it into existence XD Yeah, it is glorious and horrible, but it is... actually still a pretty touching story at the end of the day. The main thing that surprises me that no one really seems to pick up on is that the thing that the final battle takes place on/around is a SHIELD Helicarrier from the MCU XD

Now go into the nearest cinema and watch Deadpool & Wolverine. And love it when you see the greatest Marvel Heros in action.

The vulgarity is actually how the comics are written. Gruesome, vulgar, and extremely dark humor. They didnt believe an R rated super hero movie would succeed, but Stan Lee was one of the people who insisted on it being as vulgar as it is, because thats a crucial part of Deadpool's character and to do otherwise would be doing the comics and fans a disservice.

Deadpool saving Vanessa is canon! She does live after this, and so does Peter. You'll see them both in Deadpool & Wolverine! As for Loki, I saw in the comments that other people told you that you only need to see it for the third one and not this one. I would say you don't even need to see season 2 for D&W, the main connection to Loki is from season 1. The season 2 finale of Loki is incredible, so I do recommend getting to it at some point, but you don't need it for Deadpool & Wolverine.

I was taken to see David Lynch's Dune in 1984 in a theater in Hollywood CA when was 8 years old , I was told by my Uncle that I would like it , that it was like Star Wars , but of course it was nothing like Star Wars, everyone was either whispering or yelling at each other in the film .. it was a mind blowing experience , the music , the sets , the costumes , the effects at that time.. . then we went to the toys store to get Dune figure.. I got Feyed and Stilgar in hand that day .. thank you very much ... Dune is one of my favorite films to come out of the 90's ..

During the filming of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" Ryan Reynolds warned Director Gavin Hood that the fans would not be happy with his version of Deadpool, but he was like "Nah, it'll be fine." But after several disastrous test screenings, Hood called Reynolds hoping to get him back to reshoot all his scenes. But Reynolds was already committed to another movie and couldn't help him, so Hood had to release what he had in theaters.

I've seen Deadpool and Wolverine. Deadpool 2 is my favourite Deadpool movie. I think it's absolutely the superior movie.
